Background and Experience
Ms. Gaertner specializes in employment-based immigration matters.
During her time in law school, Ms. Gaertner worked as a volunteer with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) and the Denver immigration court. She also worked as a research assistant and authored multiple articles on various “crimmigration” topics, and served as a staff editor on the Criminal Law Review.

Ms. Gaertner worked as an Attorney Advisor for the Aurora immigration court in the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) of the Department of Justice. In that position, she researched and drafted decisions on complex removal cases.

Prior to founding Gaertner Torres PLLC, Ms. Gaertner was an associate attorney for Wilner & O'Reilly, APLC, in Salt Lake City. In that role, she worked on various matters in business immigration matters including: E-2 (investors), F-1 (international students), H-1B (specialty workers), H-1B1, L-1A/L1B, L1 blanket petitions, O-1, P-1, TN, PERM (EB-2/EB-3), EB-2 NIW, and EB adjustment of status/consular processing.

Ms. Gaertner is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

During her free time, Ms. Gaertner enjoys playing and watching soccer, reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her wife and their French Bulldog, Louis.
